Account & Data Deletion

You can delete your JOYMAX account and the personal data associated with it at any time, either directly in the app or by sending us a request from this page. Deletion is permanent — your watch history, favorites, coins, and VIP status cannot be recovered.
1. Delete in the app (fastest)
- Open the JOYMAX app and sign in.
- Go to Profile (bottom right).
- Tap Settings → Account.
- Tap Delete Account.
- Read the warning and confirm. You may be asked to re-enter your password.
Your account is scheduled for deletion immediately and processed within the timeline described below.
2. Request deletion by email
Can’t access the app? Email our privacy team at [PRIVACY EMAIL] from the address linked to your JOYMAX account, with the subject “Account Deletion Request”, or use the form below. To protect your data, we may ask you to verify ownership of the account before we process the request.
3. What gets deleted
- your account and login credentials;
- profile information (name, email, avatar);
- watch history, favorites, and recommendations data;
- remaining coin balance and VIP entitlement records;
- support conversation history linked to your account.
Note: unused coins and any remaining VIP time are forfeited on deletion and are not refundable except where required by law.
4. What may be retained
We may retain a limited subset of data after deletion, only where the law requires or permits it:
- purchase and transaction records, for tax and accounting law compliance;
- records needed to handle fraud prevention, disputes, or legal claims;
- anonymized or aggregated analytics that can no longer identify you.
Retained records are kept no longer than the applicable legal retention period and are not used for any other purpose.
5. Timeline
- Immediately: your account is deactivated and no longer accessible.
- Within 30 days: personal data is deleted or anonymized from our production systems.
- Within 90 days: residual copies are purged from backups.
Email requests are acknowledged within a few business days; the same timeline starts once your identity is verified.
6. Don't forget your subscription
Deleting your account does NOT cancel an active subscription. Subscriptions are billed by Apple or Google and must be cancelled in your device’s store settings, or they will keep renewing. Step-by-step instructions are on our Subscription Terms page (sections 5 and 6).
